Terrene War Alpha Release - T-Minus 72 hours
.
[Terrene War news]

That's right folks. I know there was a false alarm a little while back, but I assure you, this is for real.

In approximately 72 hours, I will be releasing Terrene War Alpha Release 1... but only to select people.

Of course, if you want to be one of the people I consider, you have to be on The List.

"How do I get on this list?" I hear you cry... well, it's very simple: Just post in this thread!

However, sign ups will close on Thursday 28th June at Midnight (GMT) sharp. Even if you post a minute late, you won't be considered.

That's all for now folks!

Terrene War Progress (sorta)
.
[Terrene War news]

Well it's been... nearly two weeks since I returned, so here's a fresh batch of screenshots for you to enjoy.

I'm still looking for some new base defences, an AA tank and a hero for the SPG (suggestions welcome), but after that, it's country specials, and the first Alpha release. I haven't set any time frame on it, because a) I'll miss it, and b) I have no idea how long it's going to take me to find some good art.

Anyway, the screens (all in thumbnail form, of course):

How often do you see Iron Curtained MiG's?

It's an impressive sight... unless you're an SPG general.

Don't you just hate it when MiG's destroy your missile silos?

The SPG throws it's forces at the North Korean defences.

The Allies attack a collection of SPG armour.

And a last shot of the troublesome SPG walls, which only seem to appear in Snow. Go figure.

Terrene War Progress
.
[Terrene War news]

Well, I'm finally back. After a God-knows how many months hiatus, I've decided to return to modding in a glorious blaze of normality.

Anyway, even with a broken wrist, I should be powering along again, adding things left-right-and-centre. Hurrah.

"Sir, we have detected an undiscovered SPG unit that we have identified as a SCUD Launcher. We believe that these long range ballistic missiles contain a deadly nerve gas, but reports are inconclusive so far."

Stay tuned for more updates!

SPG Superweapon Found...
.
[Terrene War news]

As you can see, the SPG have finally managed to acquire a way to destroy their enemies from afar... this can only be bad news for the Allied and Soviet forces.

What can the Allies and Soviets do to stop this threat?

You'll have to wait and see.

Terrene War Alpha Release - Coming Soon!
.
[Terrene War news]

Yes, that's right. With only a few more SPG units to code (and something anti-tank for base defence), Terrene War will soon reach it's first Alpha Release!

What does this mean? Well, Terrene War is reaching a completely playable state, and I need a select few to help me iron out any problems I may have over looked.

How do you get in on this? Simply post in this thread, saying that you wish to be an Alpha Tester. Now, this'll probably be first come, first serve, so if you want in, don't hang around.

Sign up now!

Even more screenshots...
.
[Terrene War news]

It seems I just can't stop myself!

Several Grizzly Tanks try to destroy something which looks like a Psychic Dominator (but isn't).

Guardian GI's try their best to defend agains Uranium Tanks.

Oh, and those turret-less things are the Plasma Turret... and I'm working on fixing that.

So, yeah. The Allies are nearly finished, save for some graphic fixes (like Cameos...)

More screenshots and a progress report...
Well, I've finally started to make some progress with Terrene War, so I suppose I should show you what I've come up with.

A SPG force made up of Raider Light Tanks and Uranium Tanks harrass a Soviet base, causing widespread devastation.

Several Badger Bombers (which may become the North Korean special unit) lay waste to the SPG with their radiation-laced bombs.

Now, a bit of a progress report. The Allies and the Soviets are pretty much done save for some graphic tweaks, a couple of country specials and the Plasma Cannon. As for the SPG, I've got another five or six units to replace, and then it's onto base defenses, buildings, and then super weapons.

With any luck, some form of alpha/beta release should be out for mid-November... let's just hope I can find suitable buildings, huh?

SPG screenshots? Oh my!
Oh my indeed. It seems I just can't stop working on TW. As a result, I've started playing around a with a few new units for the SPG (which is a replacement for Yuri). Here a four screenshots for your amusement.

I told you Militants hated the Allies...

They just can't get past the defences (or the Plasma Artillery lurking behind the barracks).

These Tank Hunters died at the hands of three SEAL's a couple of moments later.

I swear to God it isn't a Psychic Dominator...

That's all for now, but be sure to keep checking back!

Soviet Screenshots
Oh yeah. I've coded a few new Soviet units, so naturally, I had to take some screens. Here they are, in thumbnail-link format.

Several Tesla Artillery try their best to destroy a building.

Soviet MiG's take out a Chronosphere.

More coming soon!

Terrene War screenshots!
Hey all,

I've finally got my PC (hurrah!), so I did a little bit of coding, then played for a while. Needless to say, I now suck again.

Anyway, I managed to get one screenshot before being destroyed. Enjoy, and look out for more soon!
